About the Image(s)

Took this with my iPhone because I was struck by how the light from the window picked out the structure of the remains of the flower. In the edit portion of Apple Photos I adjusted the brightness, highlights, shadows, and a few other tweaks to bring out the middle of the flowers and adjust the tone. I probably went a bit far with the brightness of the backlight, but I still like the effect.I included the original to show what I was working with.

Composition, sharpness, and colors are strong. The brightness/backlighting gives a feeling of warmth from the sun. Good job...   Posted: 01/12/2021 08:29:37

Your composition is nice with the flowers being on the diagonal. The brightness of the backlight on the flowers draws viewer's attention to the main subject. If there is any way you can clone out one small distracting white band on the center right edge.   Posted: 01/19/2021 12:20:23

Thanks for the comments. I certainly agree that the white band on the right needs to go. I always ask myself "Why didn't I notice that?" Thanks for pointing it out.   Posted: 01/19/2021 17:02:08

Great light and positioning of the flower heads. It is a bit busy for my taste, I would try cropping in close to the flower heads since they are competing with the background. I agree it is a bit to bright in the background. A vignette may help.   Posted: 01/22/2021 14:19:33
