About the Image(s)

"Moth" was recently added to my series of Living Yard Art. I found him on the front bumper of my truck. Image was taken with my phone/camera and opened in Snapseed. Looks>pop; Tools>crop, healing to remove the licence plate holder on left. HDR, and frame were used. #2 is the original with #3 being the finished picture.

This is a great image. The colors are clear and the detail on the wings is great. May only suggestion would be to straight the line at the top of the image. You might try straitening it before you crop it. Just a thought. Nice image and colors!   Posted: 09/16/2020 14:04:32

When I read Bill's comment, I thought it might be fun to have the moth at an angle so it looked as if it was trying to exit the frame. So I took it into Photoshop, rotated it, and cloned in the corners and redid the stroke. What do you think?   Posted: 09/16/2020 15:30:24

The center of attention indeed is the moth. It is sharp and the colors were right. Great capture. I did notice that the horizontal line on the top of frame and the moth stand created somewhat static feeling. Audrey's version with rotation and cropping changes the image from stagnant mood to more dynamic feeling for the image.   Posted: 09/18/2020 16:53:41

This is a great addition to your collection of Living Yard Art. The moth has great color which draws the eye. I agree with the suggestion of the reviewers. You may want to try a vignette to darken the background. It would make the moth pop a little more.   Posted: 09/22/2020 09:05:12
