Ornamental Cabbage by Ruth Holt

May 2020 - Ornamental Cabbage

About the Image(s)

This month's entry was taken several years ago at one of the nursing homes in Temple, Texas. "Ornamental Cabbage" . The colors caught my eye. This was taken with a regular camera. Opened up and resized in APS-CS-6. Frame applied. I hope everybody is doing well and staying home. I've really missed the wildflowers this year....

I've always found these hard to capture. I think you did a great job with the color and depth of field, especially where you can see down into the interior pink parts of the outer green leaves.   Posted: 05/15/2020 16:21:01

Just beautiful. Great colors with good contrast between the flower head and the leaves. I love the repeating patterns of the head.   Posted: 05/19/2020 11:41:51

Doing well and glad that thinks are starting to open up here. Hope you are doing well. I like how the green frames the pink in this photo. Nice job.   Posted: 05/22/2020 09:37:24

Great shot with great colors. I think everyone captured my thoughts, except it is quit bright on my screen. I imported to Lightroom and adjusted the luminance and saturation. The result is in the thumbnail.   Posted: 05/22/2020 10:46:08
