I took this photo around 1 hour before sunset (Hong Kong), The area is a park near commercial and industrial building. I like the photo because of the shadow.

Philip, I like how your photo goes from cloudy to clear, shadow to light. I like the lines, the long shadows of the adult and child. Very nicely done. Dr. Jim   Posted: 08/03/2019 12:26:47

I really like this image a lot. Having the man and boy on the intersection of thirds was an excellent choice, whether by crop or original framing. Photography is so much affected by chance, being at the right place at the right time. You definitely succeeded with this image.   Posted: 08/14/2019 20:58:44

Philip: great overall job on this image, considering how hard it is to deal with the wide variation in light. The shadows are great, and the focus is sharp and crisp. Only suggestion I can make is to tighten the crop to eliminate some of the extraneous info on the left side. Consider putting the people on the right lower one-third crossover point and then eliminating any extra space. Also try a vertical orientation with the sun in the image to see if this improves the composition.   Posted: 08/25/2019 14:49:16
