About the Image(s)

The original is a highly cropped day lily to a square format. I applied CS6 distort, turned it 180 degrees and applied the second optional distort. Back in LR I lightened the yellow, darkened the green and applied a slight vignette.

I like your original photo, Jerry. But I'm not sure about the new version. Might you consider putting the circular part of the new image on a larger black canvas and adding two smaller versions of the circular part - in varying sizes - overlapped with the larger one? The way it is now, it seems to need something more. I'm just not 100 percent sure what that something is.   Posted: 07/18/2017 12:47:10

Thanks for the suggestion. It sounds very similar to what I would expect using the Droiste filter in Pixel Bender. I saved an old computer with CS5 solely for the Pixel Bender application, but I haven't used it recently. I'll try it when I return home in 6-7 weeks and before I go to Europe for a month.

This is a pretty good effort Jerry. I feel that the swirl effect works well. I wonder if it would be possible to add a black stroke of say 5px around the sphere in order just to separate it from the background?   Posted: 07/19/2017 02:58:06

That is an interesting suggestion. I've.never thought of doing that and I think it will work well. Thanks.
Now, I need to figure out how to do it.   Posted: 07/19/2017 13:12:33
