About the Image(s)

I was standing in my kitchen where I have two sky lights. It was Autumn and the light that was coming through the window was so beautiful I decided to try to take some still life photos. I hope you all enjoy it!

A very creative photo of the red tomatoes. The image really draws the eye in. Closeup photos are hard to have a strong depth of field. Changing the setting to increase the depth of field may carry through the lettuce and other items in the front. Overall, a nice image.   Posted: 04/05/2021 21:42:34

Tomatoes and spinach my favorites. I opened up your photo to fill the screen on my computer and the light and blackness complemented the lighting. Awesome. natural and fresh.   Posted: 04/13/2021 15:00:07

very well done. Tomatoes look delicious - ready to eat.   Posted: 04/13/2021 15:08:10

Very nice detail and especially the moisture of the dressing - red and green are strong complimentary colors.   Posted: 04/13/2021 19:54:49

Having spent the morning, as usual, on our allotment where we grow fruit and vegetables, I appreciate this image. We picked spinach today. We have a still life competition in our club next season, so we might try to emulate this - although I don't think our tomatoes ever looked this good!
I might have been inclined to darken down some of the bright white aspects of your image.   Posted: 04/30/2021 09:04:27

Very nice light and water dropplets on the tomatoes...I was fortunate to work as a volunteer for our local food bank for almost 14 years...One of my favorite kinds of photos was the hundreds of veggies and fruits we gave out....If this scene were mine, however, I would crop off the out-of-focus leaves and bright spots at the bottom, and focus on the tomatoes.. also the bright white area on the upper left...clone it out with the black background.   Posted: 04/30/2021 17:33:28
