About the Image(s)
This was a vineyard Mike and I found on the way home from Portland taking some backroads! My settings were: ISO 320, Canon 5D mark IV, 45mm, F8.0, 1/125 sec.

The pattern of the grapes is quite interesting. The dark branch adds contrast to the image. You took a very busy scene and created a neat photo. Would having an image that is completely in focus improve the photo? Just wondering.   Posted: 02/12/2021 08:45:26
Thank you!   Posted: 02/23/2021 12:19:28
This is a difficult composition to capture with clarity and interest. Your did a great job the grapes are strong and sharp as are the large grape leaves which also have great detail. the darker green small leaves that are blurred could have caught a breeze and anyway add depth to the image. Nice contrast with the greens.   Posted: 02/16/2021 21:34:08
Thanks so much Adelet! It was really fun walking among the grapes and yes it was windy!   Posted: 02/23/2021 12:20:35
Good capture. Would like to see the grapes sharper and more clarity and vibrant and the leaves burred more. I feel that would make a more interesting scene.   Posted: 02/22/2021 07:36:12
I too would have liked it if they were more vibrant but that's all I could work with! I'm going to try to use post to see what I can do! Thanks!   Posted: 02/23/2021 12:21:30
Some interesting features, but is difficult to focus on any one part of the image - so much to look at. Would a crop which focusses on the branch be effective?   Posted: 02/23/2021 09:26:17
I have to agree that it is a very busy image, however when I first started to work with it, I envisioned it rather a large photo/picture in a old frame hanging somewhere in a winery. I liked the interaction with the branch and the grapes. I will try it to see what happens! Thanks!   Posted: 02/23/2021 12:23:47
The branch is so strong that it draws my eyes from the wonderful grapes - I think a crop would help focus on the grapes as the subject. It's a shame some of the leaves are not in good shape - maybe go back at a different time - such a pretty subject - I do like your idea of a large photo in a winery   Posted: 02/26/2021 11:56:58
I agree with most comments...I think another crop would focus our eyes more on the grapes, since there is so much in this scene...Needs more contrast between the leaves and the grapes..great composition though...   Posted: 02/26/2021 12:05:59
