About the Image(s)

The days of being a wedding photographer are over, WHEW! This newly married couple wanted a portrait taken by the lake. It turned out to be one of their favorite photos. The couple had their problems just trying to get closer to the lake. The rocks were slippery making their destination a bit more of a challenge, but they made it. The background appears to be the sky, but it is actually a reflection off the water. I decided to leave more of the background since it played an important role of the portrait. Keeping the rocks in the photo served as a reminder of their journey to the lake's edge without falling into the lake and destroying her dress.

Very well done. crisp and clean....Having done several outdoor weddings myself, I can appreciate the effort on the couple to have their portraits taken in this beautiful setting...   Posted: 08/01/2020 18:54:49

Love the light distribution on the faces. I know how difficult is to control the light outdoors and I assume this is a moment to hurry, because the subject is in precarious position. Stability on the rocks can be a challenge, especially in a wedding gown. Well done.

With what they went through to pose for this image it is no wonder that they liked it. You did a great job of including all the elements that made it both a challenge and a great memory. That is the job of a wedding photographer.
Having done more than my share of weddings over the years I commend you for your efforts and for creating this wonderful memory for your clients.

My only question, how large of a print did they purchase??

For me, it is rather too overexposed.. Needs increasing the lightness to get rid of the blueness. Otherwise, a lovely posture.
