About the Image(s)

Whilst in Spokane last year at the PSA Conference, I took part in the Model Photoshoot. Tirtha from India was one of the PSA members present, and he gamely agreed to act as a model. Played around with Textures in Topaz. If I find the original I will add it!

My assumption is the lighting had been set up. Your decision on the composition is spot on. Topaz filters can over do it at times, but works nicely here. Just a minor item, I suggest the light dot on the upper forehead could be removed. Overall, a nice job.   Posted: 06/07/2020 11:58:10

Nice composition. I agree with Dave, and I think the light on the beard could also be lowered. Nice job overall.

Very nice portrait. Do you recall what topaz technique you used on this photo, so that his face is not covered by the rest of the textured effect? Or, did you erase the topaz effect on his face and hands?   Posted: 06/09/2020 17:40:16

Offhand, I cannot remember what Topaz effect I used. Did not really remove enough of the texture from his face and hands. Done too quickly!   Posted: 06/11/2020 10:40:55

Well done but also agree with Dave. I just Zoomed "working with textures" and am accumulating various textures. Liked the one you chose.   Posted: 06/13/2020 14:41:18

have to agree with all great comments. reducing the texture on his face. tweaking the shadows on his face a little to add some strength. by toning down the brightness in his beard will bring more attention to his face. the texture effect gives this subject old heritage look. works well.   Posted: 06/13/2020 22:11:22
