About the Image(s)

Took this photo at the Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum in Fort Lauderdale, Miami. They have the largest collection of Packard cars and historical memorabilia from 1900 and on.

Had difficulty in removing the light spots. Used cloning and spot healing and paint brush. Need Suggestions.

Good choice in the tight crop eliminating the distracting background. It also seems to draw the viewer into the scene. I can see where you are having issues with the light spots, so many shades of the silver car.   Posted: 01/09/2020 19:54:16

Thank you Dave. I found the light spots very time consuming and may times I did not like the shade of gray that appeared.   Posted: 01/11/2020 18:14:16

You did a great job with editing the light spots and light reflections. There is just one very tiny scratch in the front of the wheel cover, at about 10 o'clock. a fine scratch that is also on the original. otherwise perfect. The soft grey hues are very classy. Really great crop to focus on the two wheels creating a figure 8. A great photo.   Posted: 01/11/2020 11:58:43

Thank you Adele. I probably had difficulty with a good clone and gave up on the light spot. It was very time consuming.   Posted: 01/11/2020 18:13:00

I have done many such images taken at car shows, and then had to crop, remove light spots, etc. You did a great job, as it is very time consuming to do so...especially with solid tones. Your crop is perfect to show just the 2 wheels and hood of the car....I would give it the top score were I judging it... I had a similar photo that received a 1st place in our club judging, but the car was black...   Posted: 01/18/2020 00:39:51
