About the Image(s)

Twelve O'clock cats

One of the assignments in the PSA 365 for October is "Twelve O'clock", I went to our local thrift store and found this clock with 2 very cute kittens on it....I moved the hands to show only 12 .....They only thing I did was to remove some distracting glass highlights and crop it a bit....Taken with my Panasonic Lumix ZS40 point and shoot camera.

Cute picture, but I find the cats are not sharp. I put your image through new Topaz Sharpen A1 and it helps a little.   Posted: 10/10/2019 10:49:39

Yes, I know that the cats aren't as sharp as I would have liked them to be, but they were under glass, so that affected the sharpness...But, I chose to get the photo for the cuteness of the cats and it fit the assignment of "Twelve O'clock"....I guess I could have bought the clock and removed the glass, but it really wasn't worth doing that....   Posted: 10/10/2019 12:12:20

Different idea, not sure what type of assignment this was for, but the out of focus cats are distracting. Not sure what angle it was taken at, but I would have used LR to straighten the horizon on the shelf that the cats are leaning on.   Posted: 10/11/2019 13:07:50

I am involved with PSA's 365 challenge, so this was taken for the assignment on Oct. 24...."Twelve O'clock"...If you wish to see my images for each month as well as sometimes 9 or 10 other images go to the PSA site...Gallery > 365. and click on the month....some very interesting I said, I liked the cats more than the fact that they weren't tack sharp..   Posted: 10/11/2019 14:25:36

Cute kittens that definitely fit your assignment. Have to agree with others, the sharpness issue does impact the image.   Posted: 10/12/2019 08:47:19

Good find for you assignment. Also agree with the other comments about the sharpness. Topaz Sharpen did help.   Posted: 10/16/2019 19:42:41

I almost didn't submit this one, as I knew everyone would say it was "not sharp", etc. but, the cuteness of the cats was too good to pass some loose some, as the saying goes..   Posted: 10/16/2019 21:19:35
