Pretty Girl 2012 by Marilyn Ross

August 2019 - Pretty Girl 2012

About the Image(s)

This was taken in 2012 at a POWWOW in Florida. Her face always interested me and I decided to work on it this. Adjustments in PSCC

The little girl seems to be dubious about having her picture recorded. May I suggest cropping to left and right, to make an 8 X 6 picture. and brighten it a touch to improve the the appeal.   Posted: 08/09/2019 09:25:43

What a precious image. This low key photo as I see it, is outstanding. I wouldn't change a thing.   Posted: 08/11/2019 08:02:10

Lovely image - well done needs no alteration.

One technical thing to do with Digital Dialogue layouts. An image like this with dark edges bleeds into the background. It helps if you put a 2px white border round the image using "stroke" in PS, in order to separate the image from the background as shown.   Posted: 08/18/2019 11:26:25

Love this low key image and her expression. Brian has a point about the presentation on a black background. I small white border would make it stand out better. But in most other situations I would leave it as it stands. She is a beautiful child with a great expression.   Posted: 08/21/2019 14:55:17

I agree that a small white or off-white border would separate the girls hair and not have her head disappear into the background...great expression...   Posted: 08/23/2019 16:25:41
