Not sure if this falls under night photography, but it is a beautiful composition and story telling. The silhouetted boat is just perfect for me and lovely colors in the sky.   Posted: 10/04/2020 08:03:25

This is one of those "I wish I were there" shots. Especially since we had to cancel our fall vacation to the Sawtooth Mountains due to surge in Covid-19 cases.   Posted: 10/06/2020 12:48:56

I really enjoy these post-sunset shots when there are clouds in the sky and some color to be had. You captured a great deal of it here and I enjoy looking at this image. I might suggest a bit further cropping, however, to eliminate some of the extraneous information. For example I think I would crop down from the top to just above where the red sky shows, and likewise on the right to get rid of that house on the shore.   Posted: 10/06/2020 14:49:54

When we chose this topic I thought we said no sunsets but it is a "night shot" and a very nice one. Love the sky and clouds and the men in the boat add to the scene. I see just enough colors in the foreground and background to be probably what the eye was seeing. Good job.   Posted: 10/10/2020 20:01:39

This is a beautiful landscape. Very serene. I like it just as it is.   Posted: 10/11/2020 13:16:42

Well composed, story telling image, Kaylyn. The clouds and the shore in the background and foreground act as nice frames. The boat is nicely placed, off-centered as it is. I'm trying to figure out if the faint objects (structures?) on the far shore above the boat should be eliminated. I'm not sure what they are, and maybe that was your intention. Very atmospheric, and well done.   Posted: 10/12/2020 17:04:19

Thanks for the feedback. A 24x36 of this print hangs in a local bank now. This image came to mind when I got the email from Marti about the night image and didn't recall the part about no clouds.   Posted: 10/20/2020 11:11:36
