About the Image(s)

This is a red admiral butterfly which I captured in a butterfly garden. I edited it in Lightroom and just did the basic edits - mainly warming up the tone and increasing contrast. I moved it to Photoshop to remove the flowers on the right side. Then cropped it down to this size.

I think this is an exceptionally well done butterfly. I don't think I've seen this one before and when I first glanced at it I thought part of the image was of stone. Great clarity and sharpness. It would've been very difficult to place this a bit off center with the flowers so close on the right, but that is about my only comment - - it would look just a bit better if it'd been a bit more off-center. Super colors. Even the hairs on the lower body are precise. Excellent job.   Posted: 08/12/2019 11:02:50

It is very well done. I would like to see more of the purple flowers at the bottom. I think this would raise the butterfly up into the top portion of the frame and take it out of the center.   Posted: 08/15/2019 13:04:19
