I was going through some macro shots and came across this one that reminded me of a turtle. I first cropped the image and then brought it into Topaz Lens Effects. Using the Diffusion setting got me this result.

Marti, what you might have here is a kind of photographic Rorschach test wherein what one sees gives some insight into one's state of mind at a particular moment! I must admit that I'm having a tough time finding the turtle -- I can see several different shapes that give me a clue. That aside, I do like this as an abstract shot which reminds me of tree bark. At first I thought of a dragon too. Later on, it looked like a turtle head kind of tucked in with the shell and legs around it. :)   Posted: 06/10/2018 15:20:22

Marti, I did find the turtle, but only after I saw the face of a Baboon. Interesting texture, but I am sure you can brighten it up a bit and sharpen as well.

I too struggled to find the turtle. I like the resulting shape, color and texture. I think what you created could be used as a layer and blended with other photos for a unique background.   Posted: 06/25/2018 07:48:04
