About the Image(s)

This blurry, handheld shot was taken at a cafe in Amsterdam.
I used gimp to create duplicate layers. I used color mapping on one layer, and edge detect on another, using difference and saturation layer modes, and reversed color on others.

In my opinion your color choices were quite effective. I think that the emphasis on the girl and the bottle is effective and the blurred color creates mood. In my opinion, this image really works and your processing is quite interesting.   Posted: 02/04/2021 17:05:57

I really like your finished image. My only suggestion is.... it might give your figure more mystery if you darkened just her eye.... This image has become quite abstract.   Posted: 02/07/2021 23:27:21

Steve, I quite like this image which draws me in because it is different. The treatment you have used has created an artistic, abstract almost surreal version of reality which is visually appealing. In any treatment like this, it is important to stretch the visual boundaries and you have done that here through your use of colour saturation and other digital techniques. Well done.   Posted: 02/19/2021 10:11:18
