About the Image(s)
This image is a simple overlay of two macro photos. A flower on a fence, and some glass beads. I used several duplicate layers of each photo, in various combinations of layer modes (normal, difference, hue, and grain merge). I also used two opposing diagonal chromatic gradient layers in difference mode, to add color.

This is really beautiful. I love the flower and the textures.
Have you thought of darkening the light panel on the right?   Posted: 09/09/2020 00:08:44

The colors here are fabulous! The composition and placement of the flower is well-done. The only thing I would do to make it even better is to crop. out the right hand light area. The image reminds me of an oiriental screen or part of an oriental fabric. A beautiful creative effort.   Posted: 09/19/2020 17:31:27

Steve, I like the combination of the abstract shapes created by the glass beads and the reality of the flower. I am reminded of the Lady of Shallot where she is lying motionless in the water amidst a sea of flowers. I would agree with Joan to remove the light strip on the right hand edge which is distracting.   Posted: 09/20/2020 14:30:46

Steve, I like the abstraction in your image. It shows true creativity, and thinking out of the box. I enjoy looking at the way you combined the images.
I am wondering if you are showing us too much. Also I agree with Phillipa's comment about the right column.   Posted: 09/22/2020 09:53:39

Yes, this is a beautiful creative idea, but I ask, how come no one is disturbed by the bright petal on the bottom, which is more disturbing than the bar on the right?
I would think that a little rearrangement would eliminate the problem.   Posted: 09/26/2020 16:52:54

Joseph, Isn't it interesting how none of the Group picked up on the bright petal at the bottom which is so glaringly obvious. I have to say, at the time of making my comment, I didn't even notice it was there as I was totally immersed in the myriad of abstract colours and shapes that conjured up the visual story in my mind's eye. That says something for the author in his ability to deflect the attention from the obvious. As we say on this side of the pond, "I will try to do better next term!" Thanks for your insightful comment.   Posted: 09/30/2020 09:54:12
