About the Image(s)

I took the original and converted it to a black and white, then pasted it on top of the original, erased the flowers...this gave the vase a pure white, instead of a soft yellow made by the lighting...

Sorry Shirley but its too overdone for my taste. These crazy filters just dont do it for me, sorry   Posted: 04/09/2021 07:26:19

That's OK. not everyone likes some of the "obvious" filter techniques. If I were to redo it I would erase the pitcher and flowers to their original and keep only the background.   Posted: 04/09/2021 11:37:03

I like the pure white pitcher, but I would prefer a softer background. I think reds are difficult to portray and find myself reducing the saturation a bit. It generally adds some detail too.   Posted: 04/10/2021 17:39:24

I agree with Pat and Jerry. To me the background is way too grainy and the red flowers too oversaturated. What you did with the white pitcher if very good. I think if it were mine I would have kept the natural background, changed the pitcher to white like you did and then desaturate the red flowers to almost a black and white to show more detail and then and just a hint of red to them.   Posted: 04/12/2021 13:44:27

I like the transformation. Maybe soften the background a little.   Posted: 04/14/2021 10:54:34

I agree with some of the previous suggestions. What stands out the most to me is that the items seem to be floating on the background. Perhaps some shadows or have some of the flower and vase sink a little into the fold.   Posted: 04/21/2021 16:51:52
