About the Image(s)

The first three were used in the composite. I just felt that car needed to be at the beach and he needed something to look at. The partial glimpse to the young lady passing by keeps her mysterious while the painterly effect done in Corel Painter, I thinks lends to the mystery and is helpful in blending the 3 images.

Nicely put together and tells a story. Its a shame we dont see the ladies face though and I do enjoy the chap looking back, Great pose and such a good idea to join these three images together to make the story   Posted: 11/11/2020 12:54:57

Great idea, excellent composite and I think almost wonderful. My problem is that the story isn't there for me without the title. My initial impression was that the image appears odd not quizzical.
I would have much preferred to see the full face and would not have a problem with it being painterly. Just placing her at the edge of the image promotes the idea of the guy missing something. Which is good.

Thank you for your comments. This was a project that I worked on during a workshop. Interestingly, I did have the full face of the young lady when I submitted it for the two Pro's critique. They are the ones that suggested to crop it as it is shown here. Here is the original composition before they had me crop it.   Posted: 11/12/2020 18:29:13

Of the two images you shown, I might prefer the one with the girl, but I think I would remove her entirely, were it my image. The expression on his face tells us a very strong story, without the partial body of the girl...l like the painterly effect.   Posted: 11/20/2020 13:05:30
