About the Image(s)

The waterlily image was originally a slide.

I extracted the purple flower from its background and opened it in a separate file (layer 1). Duplicated that layer, enlarged it then reduced the opacity to make a shadow.

Next, radial blur to 75%

I've captured hundreds of water lily images and lots of creative versions, but I've never captured a feeling as special as I see here. The soft delicate background, I feel, is excellent.
My only preference would be to ground the flower, perhaps by cropping the bottom, just below the flower.   Posted: 10/03/2020 21:18:48

Very only comment is that I would have liked to have had the corners darker instead of the white...a vignette effect.   Posted: 10/17/2020 14:46:56

I agree with Jerry. The lily appears to be floating. A tighter crop or leave the original water under the lily and just blur the sides and top of the image for that lovely soft background.   Posted: 10/22/2020 17:44:55

Beautiful flower and enjoy what youve done here to make it more dreamy and removing that green works wonders   Posted: 10/23/2020 09:52:48
