About the Image(s)
The Union Buildings South Africa and I was photographing when a storm blew up. A boy and his father were sheltering where a flood light caught them to produce large shadows on the wall. The front of this building was lit by a stroke of lightening coming down behind me. I put this photo through the Reactor filter to give it the slight colour.

That's a great photo of an impressive building. The Reactor filter was a good choice as it brought out the texture of the brickwork. Well done!   Posted: 09/05/2020 13:54:33
I like the feeling of depth in the composition as well as the texture. Personally, it would be more meaningful if the 2 people were shown more naturally.   Posted: 09/08/2020 12:19:14

What a stoke of luck to have had the lightening at that precise moment...However, I find the figures to be a bit confusing, and were it not for your explanation i would never have seen them. I find the 3 arches to be very interesting and the center of interest for me, and not the figures.   Posted: 09/14/2020 13:13:40
The architecture is nicely done. I am not familiar with that filter but it definitely brought out the texture. I do agree with Shirley in that I may not have noticed the figures had you not pointed them out. Would it be possible to eliminate the filter from the people and darken the shadows?   Posted: 09/16/2020 18:15:14

Nice job Betty. I like the way the interior building is framed by the arches. I also like like the way the texture was brought out. Like most of the other members, the people are lost, without your description.   Posted: 09/17/2020 07:39:46
