About the Image(s)

I liked this picture but the lighting in the church was terrible so I played around to get it lighter.
Selecting the window I used Curves to bring up the colours.
I then made a triangle and filled it with yellow as if it were light coming from a window.
I removed the selection outline and added Gaussian blur, finally reducing the opacity considerably.
I took this into the reactor filter to produce this soft sunlight on the singer.

I think you did a great job of emphasizing the singer and I like the border effect too. Thanks for the detailed description.
If your original has details in the highlights of the window, I would like to see them.   Posted: 03/14/2020 21:59:13

Very effective....However, for my personal taste I would like the white "border" to be a bit less, as I feel it overpowers the the yellow coloring effect, which give it more life...   Posted: 03/15/2020 15:30:26

Very nice "save" of the original. I love the way you brought out the colors of the window and highlighted the singer with that soft yellow glow. Now I have to do a search for "reactor filter". Thank you for the detail description.   Posted: 03/15/2020 15:45:43

An excellent transformation from the dark original. You really brought the scene to life. Well done!   Posted: 03/21/2020 23:19:45
