About the Image(s)
Originally a hand held shot taken in bright light so wanted to create a more painterly look with more atmosphere. I used mainly curves layers and some multiply blend mode layers with masks. A crop to give a more balanced image

I don't think your technique provided a painterly effect, but just a change of weather from sunny to overcast - which is fine. I like overcast weather.   Posted: 12/04/2019 14:07:50
I really like the detail you have in your creative version. I think it's very difficult to show detail and a painterly effect, so that didn't come across to me.
Also, I'd like to focus more on the lagoon and rocks by cropping off about half of the sky. Where is this beautiful location?   Posted: 12/07/2019 01:26:00

If it were mine, I would crop some of the sky out at the top to focus more on the land and water...I really like the color effect on your creative version, but, I don't really see the "painterly" effect in this one..   Posted: 12/08/2019 23:23:00
