About the Image(s)

Image taken at a Country Park close to home. There is a small group of duck weed covered ponds isolated from the main park and I find these a ready source of material for producing 'Abstracts from Nature' images. It is only a question of selection to find the best combination of weed and branch. Of course followed by the selection of processing and software in this case Media-chance Reactor.

Peter, you find interesting subjects in the most unexpected places! I would have walked right by what you found with your "eagle eye". Media Chance Reactor filter worked very well with your subject.   Posted: 10/02/2019 17:27:18

I like the original textures in the background and wish those shapes were more evident in your creative version. Perhaps a mask layer could be used to partially reduce your added affects. Of course, that's just my personal preference.   Posted: 10/02/2019 18:37:25

What makes this abstract for me is the branch that is sticking up. It adds dimension and keeps my eyes wandering around the image. For me, that is what makes an excellent abstract; looking around and finding interesting shapes and colors throughout. And Media-chance Reactor absolutely enhanced this feeling and mood. You had excellent vision to find this and create an art piece from it.   Posted: 10/03/2019 08:13:33

After seeing other members halloween spooky images this gives me the creeps haha! I see a deadly finger and hand rising from the gloomy depths of green slime pointing at you Peter, beckoning you to enter the water and sink underneath to the dark depths of.......

Best get back to the image!! Youve certainly found an interesting subject that others would walk past. I do find the oil paint a bit too much and agree with Jerrys comments on masking out areas   Posted: 10/03/2019 08:44:38

Lovely subject. Great effect on subject too but would have removed filter from the water. Makes a great picture.   Posted: 10/03/2019 09:57:48
