About the Image(s)

The original was taken in the village of Castle Combe on one of my last trips back to England.
All I did was apply the Oil-painting filter in Photoshop.

A well composed English village scene enhanced further by the choice of the appropriate Photoshop effect. Simple but so effective - very well done.   Posted: 10/01/2019 14:25:18

I absolutely love what the oil paint filter has done for this image. Everything is fantastic. Love the effect on the road... and especially on the table and chairs. I would not change a thing!!   Posted: 10/02/2019 09:09:24

I like it a lot and am surprised this filter worked so well. My compliments to you.
It appears to me that you may have partially masked out the effect on the right foreground. I would consider making the signs slightly legible but maybe it would detract. Just a thought.   Posted: 10/02/2019 18:14:12

Yes, I thought about making the signs legible but decided not to.   Posted: 10/02/2019 20:36:43

A massive change from the original which is a simple record shot of the pub and made a lot more interesting. For me, the oil paint effect is a little too much. Id be tempted to pare it back a bit in those areas of lesser interest and perhaps concentrate on the brickwork of the pub. Perhaps a gin and tonic on the table too!! Cheers!!!   Posted: 10/03/2019 08:35:43
