About the Image(s)

These Pictoglyphs (painted) and Petroglyphs (etched) are in the entrance to a well protected cave in Canyon De Chelly NP. I decided to reprocess the image I had previously prepared in order to experiment with Topaz Studio 2.

I obviously don’t yet know how to work with layers because I probably used some unnecessarily.

Aptly named final image with Halloween at the end of the month. I think you used a method I like to use myself on occasions called my 'What if mode' often producing a most interesting final image - as in this case.   Posted: 10/01/2019 14:15:51

I love the added textures and colors that your application processes brought out. I especially like how the "detail" applications really allowed us to better see the etchings and drawings. Great job!   Posted: 10/02/2019 10:01:59

I wonder what the spooky message actually was? Could those raised hands mean "Stay out of my space -- OR DIE!! (Looks like two dead bodies there).
Whatever -- your technique certainly added interest to the original.   Posted: 10/02/2019 16:35:45

Spooky indeed and youve certainly made a good job from your editing to bring it to this level. Id be tempted to add some handprints to the dark red part in the bottom corner to give more balance and intrigue?   Posted: 10/03/2019 08:31:36

I felt a slight imbalance too, and thought the subtle detail in the dark area might address it. I think i'll try to just brighten that area a bit.

I respect the site too much to alter reality by cloning in more glyphs.

Thanks.   Posted: 10/03/2019 10:43:45

Love the glowing colour of the light to bring the whole thing to life. Very interesting and somewhat scary.   Posted: 10/03/2019 09:28:58

Very interesting color rendition to the original image. Since there isn't too much of interest at the bottom I might be tempted to crop some of it out of the scene to concentrate on the figures...   Posted: 10/10/2019 22:54:07

While creative images may not require it. I didn't crop the bottom to retain some sense of place, a cave   Posted: 10/10/2019 23:02:15
