Milk Monster is Hungry by Norm Solomon

April 2021 - Milk Monster is Hungry

About the Image(s)

This `Milk Monster is Hungry’ was done with a simple water drop set up of 1 flash, 105 macro & black backdrop using 1/2 & 1/2 as the liquid. Water Drop photography was a fun way to spend time during the long winter nights!

Hi Norm,
You are very creative. It must have taken time to capture the droplets and motion in the milk. I would not have known it was milk if it weren't titled. It is a perfect abstract. Black and white suits it well. Your skill shines through.   Posted: 04/05/2021 11:52:49

I have seen a number of drop shots over the years, but this one is very unique. The shapes that resulted seem very unusual and I like the monochrome treatment which focuses our attention on the shapes. Well done.   Posted: 04/06/2021 13:59:52

Well done. Your time was certainly not wasted in setting this up and taking the pictures. Choosing mono was a good move with this subject. The thing that I like is that you would not see the monster until you reviewed your images, yet you have caught it so well.   Posted: 04/17/2021 04:37:31

What a great catch for droplet photography. Proof that there is always a new image to be found. Nicely done.   Posted: 04/18/2021 08:56:02

I love the monochrome treatment of this image. The light source adds dimensionality to this monster. Fun image.   Posted: 04/18/2021 14:45:48
