About the Image(s)

I was cleaning Pierre’s house on a very windy day and he calmly looked at me and out his window while I worked. He did not want his plumage to blow around. I straightened and cropped in SnapSeed and then increased structure. Next I removed rough spots in the house and dirt from the window in Touch/Retouch. I wanted to emphasize his head, since so many peacock images concentrate on their plumage.

Hi Harriet,
Pierre is a handsome fellow. You managed to capture all his fine features. His magnificent color, the nice texture in his feathers, the details on his face, and very importantly his eye looking at you, are all presented well in the image. How lucky you are to have beautiful pets to photograph. Nice story.   Posted: 04/04/2021 14:07:43

Hi Harriet,
A very nice environmental portrait of Pierre. The colors certainly`pop'. If Pierre agrees it might be interesting to have him move so that his beak, eyes & plumage have the sky as a background and then focus tightly on those areas with an emphasis on the eyes.

I enjoyed the angle you picked to take his portrait. He looks very well feed and the colors make him look healthy. I suspect looking out the window is a favorite place for him. A happy fellow. You have everything very sharp and captured excellent color.   Posted: 04/08/2021 21:30:16

A well taken portrait of this handsome bird. The detail in the plumage and the vibrant colours add to the interest in the picture. I wonder if he is looking out of the window and wondering whether or not to venture out in to the wind.   Posted: 04/17/2021 04:29:13

Really good concept for a peacock. You bring out the birds
majestic character with the angle and closeness of the image. Very good.   Posted: 04/18/2021 08:47:22
