June 2020 - Showing off in a Bucket

About the Image(s)

Our community had a parade of classic cars, I believe over 100 or them. Shot with an Olympus EM-1 Mrk II and Olympus 40-150 f/2.8 lens at ISO 320, 150mm, f/11, 1/320 sec. Processed in Lightroom Basic panel with a number of selections to darken the pavement and make adjustments to several other areas.

A great subject and great treatment of vibrant colors.
The only comments I have are:1. perhaps take out /darken(?) whatever that white thing is to the left of the driver's side front tire 2. it might have been nice to see the faces of the drivers...but if the glass was tinted that may not have been feasible.   Posted: 06/12/2020 14:06:42

I should of seen that and zapped it out. I don't think that is a street marking. It should be removed.   Posted: 06/14/2020 17:19:28

Nice Car. Lots of chrome and the bright yellow body. A shame the tinted screen has hidden the characters in the car. I agree with Norm about the stud in front of the wheel.   Posted: 06/14/2020 04:28:59

Stan, great treatment of the image. You really brought out the key elements giving the colors good vibrancy. Perhaps a polarizing lens would have helped with the window reflection if you were in the right position. Actually the street markings don't bother me but then I expect them to be there.   Posted: 06/14/2020 06:47:39

Even the yellow flowers came down to see this yellow "bucket" with its purple top! I think the picture is about the car. Because of that, I'm not sure it hurts not to see the people's faces. The spot on the pavement does not bother me either. I guess because I'm used to those distractions. I would have liked to see the car with more room in the front, but that is like doing Monday morning quarterbacking. Great shot!
