About the Image(s)

My late pony Pumpkin would greet me at the gate every morning. Since she is no longer with me, I wanted her portrait to have a dreamy feel. First she was opened in Snap Seed for fine tuning, cropping and straightening; then her image was opened in Touch/ReTouch to clean her eyes and the dirt off her coat. I then opened Distress F/X and added a vanilla texture.

Canon Powershot f/5.8 , 28.5 mm, ISO 3200

Hi Harriet, I think this image really conveys the dreamy impact you wanted to achieve...Had you also considered trying to also get the wire in the fence to the right & left of Pumpkin's face to be a bit more dreamlike/soft? I think it may add to the overall impact.

You have created a great memory of Pumpkin.Very simple but it does what you wanted. I do concur with Norm on the wire.   Posted: 11/14/2019 05:33:50

Hi Harriet,
I like how you warmed this up and gave it a old time feel by adding the texture. This picture makes me smile as it looks like your horse happy to wait by the fence for you to take her picture.

Nice image, and I can hear the emotion in your comments. Clearly this is an important image and you have made it special. I like the treatment you have done to it. The background really responded well to what you did. Well done.   Posted: 11/16/2019 22:04:34

Harriet, A truly nice adaptation of an emotional time in your life. I cannot think of anything that would improve of the lovely memory you've created.   Posted: 11/18/2019 04:53:07
