About the Image(s)

Kuala Lumpur EQ Building taken with Canon 5D Mark IV. My apology for missing the camera settings. I don’t know what I did but the Xref file didn’t record the data. Best memory is it was shot Manual with an exposure time of 1/5 sec to get the motion blur on the mono rail train. Processing was in On1 (similar to Lightroom).

I like the tension between the tall skycraper and the elevated rails. I loved that the speeding train was red, making sure I would not miss it. I would not change a thing.   Posted: 08/09/2019 16:21:03

I really like the perspective and the feeling of motion of the monorail. Possibly the beam of light under the monorail could be toned down a bit.   Posted: 08/10/2019 10:03:57

Beautiful composition! I especially like how the vertical lights in the building above the monorail have a really graphic/computery look to them and move the viewer's eye upward. Then the diagonals in the image at the top of the frame bring the viewer's eye back into the picture and into the motion of the monorail. My only suggestion would be to clone out the white dot/light on the left edge of the image, a little more than halfway up the frame. Very cool shot!   Posted: 08/10/2019 16:15:34

Nice shot &.color combo in a tough situation...I would have preferred for more if the train to be in the image. I would also crop the part of the image with the white spot light & windows at the bottom & see what happens when you try to straighten the building using LR/PS.   Posted: 08/12/2019 12:43:03

A wonderful example of a shot that is probably significantly better with the perspective clearly shown and the image not level. A very nice composition just the way it is. I really like how it is pretty much right out of the camera, but the building is converted to a series of colored lines. Sort of like "altered reality" but it isn't. A slow shutter speed to show the motion, but sharp lines other than the train. Well done.   Posted: 08/12/2019 15:14:44

I like all the lights of the architecture, but then we have the added drama of the monorail train passing through. Well timed and taken, the blur of the train adds drama.   Posted: 08/14/2019 03:46:06
