A delicate image. I would like to see the original. Your technique has turned the vase into a floral design. In fact, before I saw the title, I had thought that the original was a flower. The black outlines are slightly heavy for me. Perhaps a lighter colour might work a little better.   Posted: 11/08/2020 05:36:07

It is always difficult to critique your images Mark as you rarely send us the original so that we can make comparisons and offer constructive comments.
To me your image looks almost as if it is a derivative of a shot of a fried egg.   Posted: 11/11/2020 13:30:14

The vase is 'somebody else's art" so I altered it by using an I phone app called PAINT.   Posted: 11/12/2020 10:35:21

I understand that but you must have the original image to share with us?   Posted: 11/12/2020 11:03:55

Not seeing the original. I imagine it as a Chihuly original with a vase inside a leafy shape. Very nice.   Posted: 11/12/2020 07:45:57

I would also love to see the original here, and I love what you have achieved. I like the wavy patterns and shapes that make up the rim, which I can see are well contained in the frame, and also that the brightest area is in the centre, keeping my interest to this part. The choice of a pure black background makes the structure really stand out without any distractions.   Posted: 11/14/2020 21:12:30

An interesting image but I have no suggestions.   Posted: 11/15/2020 19:09:15

Interesting effect, I too thought of a fried egg! Definitely a Chihuly genre.
I think it could do with a better title, it doesn't say "vase" to me.   Posted: 11/19/2020 15:05:35
