About the Image(s)

In May I went to one of Toledo’s Metro Parks and took a photo of a couple walking on one of their paved paths. I wanted the image to be in black and white so I shot the image in infrared so the grass and foliage would be white The camera settings were 1,000 of a second using a 15mm lens at f/8 and ISO at 200. I think the mono image is pretty good but I wanted more interest so I used Topaz Studio 2 filters to create a Winter Walk and An Autumn Walk.

As we are unable to show three full size images Autumn Walk is the image shown as Original 1. Winter Walk is original 2.

The mono image is my original image after I converted it from my infrared image (which I have not shown). The images shown as Original 1 and Original 2 are my mono image after I adjusted using Topaz Studio 2 filters.   Posted: 10/02/2020 17:22:54

My favourite is Original 1 because the figures of the 2 walkers are clearer in that version, and I think that is important. I also like the colouration of that two tone version best.Good job!   Posted: 10/04/2020 03:28:52

I don't know why it has highlighted those 2 words, and I can't edit it out!   Posted: 10/04/2020 03:31:47

It looks like the software for the site is interpreting two words with a period between, and no intervening spaces, as a web address, and tries to make it into a hot link. Try to leave a space, or two, after a period, and see if that works.   Posted: 10/12/2020 16:58:40

I'm with Mike the autun walk is better than the winter one. However I must say that the original infra red shot is my favourite.   Posted: 10/09/2020 13:21:21

I love Original 2 - it has such an unusual feel to the processing that makes it quite unique. I'm not sure what that dark area to the bottom left is, but it could easily be cropped without spoiling the image.   Posted: 10/11/2020 22:04:20

You have captured wonderful shadows in your original shot. They seem almost to be vibrating or moving as I look at them.
The serpentine path is great.
Congratulations.   Posted: 10/12/2020 17:01:26

I prefer the mono (final) version. My only suggestion is to crop out the rather empty foreground which would put the figures more on a third but as always this a personal decision.   Posted: 10/25/2020 05:16:37
