Poppy crying by Mark Southard, FPSA

March 2020 - Poppy crying

About the Image(s)

This started out as a plain poppy photograph,,,,,,,,, then selected half of the image, copied it and reversed to get a mirror image........THEN I saw what looked like something crying with their fists up to the 'eyes' , so I then added the tearsl!

Great! It's so well done, it doesn't even need a title.   Posted: 03/04/2020 08:46:30

Lovely idea, well executed. The colours are great too. I wouldn't change anything.   Posted: 03/04/2020 09:52:46

Love the colours and I can see where you got the idea of tears from!! Well done.   Posted: 03/07/2020 10:39:59

This is a technique I enjoy employing as well. The mirror image effect works well and the join is well concealed. Great idea to add the teardrops which give the image that bit extra.   Posted: 03/10/2020 15:00:17

It looks like something out of an alien movie. Perhaps, add a soft brush with a very low opacity around the edge of teardrops to blend into the image. As a comparison, to see the difference.   Posted: 03/19/2020 02:18:10
