About the Image(s)

I discovered this image of a cyclist in my files and although its
technically very poor i thought it interesting enough to have a go at. I
think it was taken from a bus and the cyclist is going along unaware of
the black car coming up behind her. I tweaked the contrast and passed
it through the liquify filter in Topaz. Not sure it works in colour,
maybe better in black and white. Any thoughts or am I really wasting
everyone's time this month?

Happy New Year to you all.

Happy New Year, Andrew. I much prefer the mono version. It simplifies everything, whereas the colours in the main image cause some distraction. The mono version reminds me of a witch, cycling along with a flowing cloak, which I like very much.   Posted: 01/03/2020 04:46:19

i have to agree on the black and white version too.
I wonder if the radial filter in Lightroom might make a difference to the bike rider. Use two circles, one for the face/top area to draw the viewers eye. And the bottom to bring the bike out darker.   Posted: 01/13/2020 09:26:35

Very impressionistic and I feel it works well but agree that the mono version is the better of the two. In the colour one it is that green streak whick I find a little overwhelming.   Posted: 01/14/2020 10:10:39
