About the Image(s)

These tractors snapped last weekend at a country fair.
First step was to crop down the sky and then clone out the framework on the hedge top.
Then on a duplicate layer I searched Topaz Texture effects to find a preset to my liking finally settling on one called Jumping mule (don't ask me how they choose the names!!) which I tweaked to my satisfaction brightening the final image.

Well done on the colors and I like the texture giving the picture a bit vintage look. It looks nearly like a painting.   Posted: 06/03/2018 01:22:32

Yes. The treatment suits the subject. A subtle use of the Topaz filter.   Posted: 06/03/2018 01:58:06

The treatment improves on the photograph in loads. It does, as Kerstin says, give likeness to a photograph. The orange colouration lends an air of mud and rust to these fine old machine. The cropping certainlt pays off, and the darker sky blends nicely with the main subject.   Posted: 06/03/2018 19:05:28

You have handled this very nicely as the new background works great with the subject. The colors are very pleasantly rich !   Posted: 06/14/2018 14:21:12

I like the darkened sky pastel colouration effect, and this works well with the subject.
The only negative for me (which I agree is not important) is the fact the tractors are all sloping, presumably because they are not on flat ground. Nothing you can do about and it doesn't matter! I must get out more.   Posted: 06/17/2018 07:06:51

Your result gave a more interesting sky that was darker and thus not a distraction. The texture gives the scene a slightly vintage look, in keeping with the subject. Sure to warm the heart of any tractor fan! d:¬{D   Posted: 06/22/2018 17:42:17
