Wow! What a wonderful result. I can't begin to imagine how you created this but it would be very interesting to be included in your description.   Posted: 04/01/2021 19:45:04

When I looked at it with my wife she said it looked like a face. I can see it that way with the way the rivets in the red are curved. This is cool. I will look up how to do it in photoshop. I agree with Beverly Caine I would like to know what inspired you think to do this to the photo. BTW:no cropping needed. :)

I first found the technique when looking at other photos in other groups, it appears quite regularly. You choose polar co-ordinates in Photoshop distort filters, select 'polar to rectangle'. Then take the result and turn it through 180 degrees. You then go back to polar co-ordinates select the 'rectangular to polar' and the jobs a good un. You can increase the canvas size and use a fill colour if you so desire.   Posted: 04/03/2021 07:29:38

I love the symmetry and the color/brightness contrast. Its interesting to go back and forth to the original, to see where the image elements come from. Cropping exactly to the image works well.   Posted: 04/03/2021 12:28:26

John, I really like the symmetry that resulted in this final image. The red and the maroon colors add to the interest. Gotta try this soon - fun results!   Posted: 04/04/2021 16:07:42

Great effect. The whole thing works very well and has made an extremely appealing image. Well done for taking the original image which in itself was inspired.   Posted: 04/06/2021 04:52:25

Great creativity work John. The bright colors, pleasing patterns, and face-like shape make this a very interesting image. It would do well in a PSA competition entered in the Creative Altered Reality category.   Posted: 04/20/2021 07:03:45
