About the Image(s)

Kasimedu is a very small fishermen's village just outskirt of Chennai where I live now. Each wall of this village is painted with bright and different colors.
I spent many a Sunday mornings there to roam around in the narrow lanes of this village. Many of my color photographs in Chennai are taken there. This is one of those colorful photographs.

Another wonderfully colorful and human scene from Udayan. Thank you for the planning and the feeling. Not sure how much of the right side of the image is needed, but no harm.   Posted: 03/04/2020 08:18:40

Beautiful image. I love how the colors work together, and how the bright area of pavement leads you into the man carrying the basket. I'd consider cropping the right side, maybe half of the space between the wall poster and the edge. Also, I find the cut in half poster on the left edge a little distracting. If the left edge was cropped, I'd consider cropping less to see all of the poster. Alternatively, you might crop the light green wall out all together.   Posted: 03/06/2020 16:12:39

Always interesting to follow some of the other members in our group - their take on the image gets me thinking in other ways. Sheldon has some interesting suggestions - with his crops, you'd have a predominantly blue image with the man in pink. It would really pop the image! I look forward to see what you are posting from the other side of the world!   Posted: 03/06/2020 18:52:03

Another image full of delightful vibrant colours. Yes, I would crop the right somewhat but leave the green wall as this gives the shot added depth. The patch of light is well handled. Have been trying to work out exactly what he is carrying on his head.   Posted: 03/10/2020 12:03:25

A well caught moment with the fisherman. I like the composition and the colours are magnificent. The patch of light into the corner is spot on as it leads the eye to the subject.   Posted: 03/13/2020 06:01:46

An interesting story with bright colors and a local character. My preference would be to crop out the green wall and about half of the blue wall. Making the subject more prominent would help this image.   Posted: 03/15/2020 09:37:22
