March 2020 - Reflected

About the Image(s)

I was attracted by the reflections of the neighbouring buildings in the glass of the hotel. Added to that was a tram in the corner. The colours all seemed to work together.

Very pleasing image well presented.   Posted: 03/04/2020 08:09:40

I love the reflection, the leading line of the curb into the image, and the waiting tram. Its too bad that the sky is bland. Some things to consider - crop from the top to just over the middle flagpole and a little on the left and a little on the bottom so the reflection becomes more prominent, and there is less sky. Perhaps also increase the saturation (or darken) the sky.   Posted: 03/06/2020 16:18:33

An outstanding image full of supporting colors - the blues in the building and the trolly and the grays in the reflections and the street made this an interesting image for me. I did get rid of the bland (even though it was gray) sky with a more dramatic one. i also upped the contrast a tad.   Posted: 03/06/2020 18:22:05

Thanks Joe for your suggestion and example. I was shooting with the sun to my front left, if that makes sense. The sky was actually quite clear as can be seen from the reflection, but your sky seems to work.   Posted: 03/13/2020 05:45:19

A powerful reflection and well captured. I like the added colour-coordinated tram bottom right. I agree that you either need to get rid of the sky altogether or substitute it.   Posted: 03/10/2020 11:48:58
