About the Image(s)

Two owls at a display to raise some funds. I was watching them from behind when one turned to look at the other. Not much done to the image apart from the standard enhancements.

I love the eyes. Some head feathers are a little soft, and and the diagonal background line is somewhat distracting. A good "grab" shot.   Posted: 01/04/2020 13:02:45

Love the apparent interaction between the two. Owls are so often imaged alone. Gives new feeling to the "Who?". Technically very god as well.   Posted: 01/04/2020 17:49:27

I second Glenn's comments. You might also consider cropping a little tighter on the right, and darkening the bright background to help keep focus on the owls.   Posted: 01/06/2020 07:23:28

Some good feedback so far, John! The two that standout for me would be the diagonal background and the white area surrounding the owls. Your call as to what you do with this feedback. You caught a moment and the expression on the left owl makes the image.   Posted: 01/06/2020 12:13:00

Yes, I agree with all comments already made. The eyes of the facing bird are particularly well caught and the markings on the birds' plumage.   Posted: 01/07/2020 04:05:02

Thank you for all your comments as usual. I did wonder about making a tighter crop to eliminate some of the bright background.   Posted: 01/12/2020 05:13:26
