About the Image(s)

This image was shot using Samsung S9 mobile on 20th March, 2021. ISO-250, f/1.5, exposure time 1/25 sec, focal length 4mm with Center Weighted Average. Minor adjustments of exposure, shadows, denoice and color were done using photoshop. Some portion of the left side was trimmed.

This was our first visit to a restaurant after the pandemic started. One of my friends, who is a theatre artist started a new restaurant recently as there were no theatre activities for a long time due to pandemic. She purchased an old non-mechanized fishing boat and placed it as the siting place. One side wall of the boat was cut for entry in to the seats. Fish items are the attractions. They sell live fresh water fishes too. We were the last customers on the day, as there are restrictions to close the restaurants by 10.00 pm due to pandemic.

Great post processing. You have brought this restaurant to life. I think you should show this image to your friend. I wouldn't be surprised if she offered to buy a copy for advertising this unique family restaurant. A web page would create such a demand for reservations that she would become booked solid.   Posted: 04/10/2021 19:48:37

Brilliant photo. Good idea to remove the light streams from in front to open the view. Lines in the curtains and ceiling frame the center of interest red tables. The cars outside are distracting, but that is what was there. Perhaps they could be clone stamped out. Refer to my rough attempt.   Posted: 04/12/2021 12:09:38

I too felt that the cars are distractions. Your editing is wounderful. Will try it.   Posted: 04/13/2021 00:20:48

Nice fix on cloning out the cars. I thought at first the restaurant was part of an auto show. I agree with Kathleen that the owner should put it on her website. Good capture of a difficult lighting situation.   Posted: 04/15/2021 11:52:25

What a great story this image tells! I agree with the removal of the cars which took away from the ambience of the setting. This image definitely evokes emotion for the viewer.   Posted: 04/19/2021 14:23:03

Great angle to show the design of this interesting restaurant. Good to remove the cars, and also the royal blue bin to the left of the last table. I would lower the highlights and let the ceiling lights be less dominant in the scene or warm up the light balance to maybe give those lights a yellow glow, rather than so white.   Posted: 04/27/2021 06:26:55
