About the Image(s)

This photo was captured just a few days ago. Half an hour of driving from my home there's a small river, where the rocks are covered with moss. It's not very easily accessible from the road. But last month I went to explore it. I've found the way to come near, but there was not the right light. When the sun shines through the forest to the river, some parts are blown out, others are too dark. Last week I went there in the afternoon, when the whole river was in shadow. But the river flows from a magic light, where the forest is not so dark. I've captured the river with a long shutter to get it milky.

Nikon P900 at 24 mm on built in lens, manual exposure 3s, F7,1, ISO 100, tripod, grey filter.

Crop, highlights, selective burn, contrast improvement with levels and curves, auto color correction everything in Photoshop Elements.

Hi Bogdan

A very inviting scene, I really love the moss and the leaves to add an extra bit of color.   Posted: 10/11/2020 17:03:06

Another beautiful picture of your country. Good composition. Good to blur the water with a long exposure. A little shorter exposure would show more definition of flow. Just different, not necessarily better.   Posted: 10/12/2020 13:40:59

Excellent image. Nice colors, beautiful lighting effect, composition. The milky water add a peaceful mood to the image. Well done.   Posted: 10/16/2020 13:24:25

Beautiful image. The moss and water were handled just right. I'm wondering if you could have added a tiny more light in the shadow areas with an adjustment layer. I would love to see a shot from this location when there are fall colors.   Posted: 10/16/2020 17:58:00
