About the Image(s)

This is view at one of the calm beaches in Adaman Islands. Camera Fuji FinePix 3D camera. This is the left image from the stereo pair. ISO 200, F-stop f/8, shutter speed 1/750 sec. I corrected the horizon by 1 degree CW. Adjusted the levels shadows a little. Trimmed a little from sides and some portion of the sky. Finally added a thin white border.

It does look calm and restful. I like the coconut seedling at the right â…“ line.

I would crop some of the bright green ground cover at the bottom of the image, and crop a little more from the sides if you want to keep the same aspect ratio. I also would lighten the trees in the upper left - and put back into the image a little of the cropped sky to get the whole cloud on the upper right - with a little margin on top of it.   Posted: 08/01/2020 12:28:51

Yes, I could have trimmed the ground more, but I want to keep the sky only to 1/3 portion of the image, that is why I kept more foreground which is not much of interest.   Posted: 08/01/2020 13:51:00

This is a wonderful, peaceful image. The oblique line of the grass provides a good contrast to the straight horizon. I am enjoying the three "zones"--the blue sky, the white sand and the ground cover. The seedling balancing the image nicely. To my eye, the crop you chose works well.   Posted: 08/07/2020 12:59:05

A good example of the less is more theory. Good balance and the angles work well. The horizon still looks sloped and I verified that by moving a rectangular crop line temporarily to the horizon. Good use of thirds. Makes me want to be there.   Posted: 08/07/2020 13:29:12

Yes, a mild slope is there in horizon.
You are welcome to visit Andaman too. You have to take special permission to visit this Island. When you apply for visa make a special request.   Posted: 08/07/2020 13:34:25

Yes, it's a nice beach but I would like to see a boat or someone draw me into the scene. Since the plant is the subject, I would like a tighter shot.

Yes, a peaceful image. I would just make panoramic crop, to leave long lines. I would crop more then a half of grass and nothing else.   Posted: 08/22/2020 14:02:47
