About the Image(s)

I was very lucky to be in Pensacola, Florida when the Blue Angels had a practice. This photo was taken with my Sony RX100 M6 camera at 1/1600 second, f/6.3, ISO 250. I used shutter priority since the shutter speed was critical.

I cropped and rotated the image to get the jets moving diagonally - for a more interesting composition - and increased the exposure and texture. I decreased the shadows and increased noise reduction.

Congratulations Joan on your "Silver Forest" image in the Members Showcase. Great shot. This month's SG-16 image is also very good. I'm glad you eliminated the clouds. You did a great job in bringing out the orange detail in the airplanes. The smoke trails gives us a feeling of how fast the jets were moving.   Posted: 10/16/2019 19:56:05

Excellent shot of moving jets. The sky is clear, image is sharp and well composed. The right to left movement gives the feeling of planes flying in. Since the jets are moving at an angle to the top, it is better to flip the image to give the feeling of flying out. No other suggestions.   Posted: 10/19/2019 03:50:34
