About the Image(s)

Last week I took a trip to Mackinaw in Michigan and took a barge ride thru the locks connecting Michigan with Canada. This photo was taken from the rear deck with my Nikon D7500 using program mode because we were moving. I first open this image in the Lightroom Develop mode and made slight adjustments using the various sliders until I got the "look" I wanted. I then moved to Photoshop CC to crop the pole out on the left side, resized the image and added a white border.

Nice sharp image. I liked the way you trimmed the image. The composition, lighting and colors look good to me. I think you can use the shadows in photoshop to bring more details on the right side of ship and the lock wall area near the ship.   Posted: 06/04/2018 13:27:59

An interesting image. A little busy and the dark red boat is not well balanced. Good enhancements.   Posted: 06/12/2018 18:15:36

Good documentary photo. You succeed to get blue sky. Photo is sharp enough and good lighted.   Posted: 06/15/2018 17:35:08

An interesting travel picture with lots of information in the picture. The yellow color of the buildings and bridge were not obvious in the original. Nice job.

Good photo of a very large boat entering the lock.

I too find it a little busy. I would remove most of the front side of the building on the right, and use content-aware fill to remove the little piece of whatever it is in the lower left. Also I would lighten the darkness on the right side of the boat and the part of the lock to the right of that.   Posted: 06/17/2018 16:14:09
