Hi Jeri, another beautiful close-up of a flower! I love the colors and the crop, and you have got every pollen particle so sharp!. I have just struggled through a macro lesson in the photography course and have developed a tremendous respect for people who take these pictures. It is so difficult to get the focus right and at the same time take care of the light and composition. A wonderful photo!   Posted: 09/10/2020 14:19:16

Thank you Kristi, the sharpness was a surprise to me as well. I've got to find a place to get my Nikon fixed as it is not talking to my lenses. As such, I've been depending on my cellphone and it does a pretty good job. Most of the time I have no clue what I am taking a picture of as the screen is dark with the sun. Every picture is a surprise! I loved the colors in this one and the pollen. Waited for a bee but none came.   Posted: 09/21/2020 10:52:26

Very nice Flower portrait Jeri. Sharp focus and well composed. I was looking for the pollen collector, but I don't see it. Perhaps your title should be Pollen Producer and save that title for when you catch the insect collecting the pollen. I think it's possible with that nice camera phone.   Posted: 09/14/2020 12:30:40

Thank you Bob. I get it about the title. A bee would have been the collector and the flower the producer :-) I was at a loss for a title.   Posted: 09/21/2020 10:55:02

Sharp. Really beautiful colors close to each other on the color wheel. I think I agree with Bob about he title . It could be Pollen Producer, as Bob suggests. This is a really typical sample of what works well placed symmetrically in the frame. Beautiful exposure.

Thank you Joan. I am having fun and gaining confidence when I have no clue what I am taking a picture of and it actually comes out pretty nice. The comments are helping me to learn better discernment in my photos. I see photos that others have taken and aspire to shoot that quality as well. My post processing is limited so I shoot for the correct shot first :-)
