John,
Happy New Year. A very complete package. The image is well composed, the processing is right on, and your presentation with the double key line and title bring all the elements together. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards,

John - This is a beautiful orchid and from many perspectives you've done it justice. The lighting seems a bit harsh though, making the orchid appear tough rather than delicate. Also, while purely a personal choice, I don't think the double key line is really necessary - I'm just not a fan. In all other respects, you've done a brilliant job. Titles can be important and this one is very appropriate. Happy New Year!

Yeah, I think you and Darcy have the same idea (great minds along the same track??)--there is just too much contrast between the white petals and the very black background. I am going to try a more muted--perhaps textured background and see if this might improve the image. I appreciate your candid comments.   Posted: 01/09/2021 17:05:44

John, great image and well presented. Colour hues and saturations work well, definition looks good. a minor suggestion as the white are a bit overpowering (on my screen) suggest toning down a slight amount the darks on the white petals   Posted: 01/09/2021 16:58:05

Hi John. Your image is very well composed. Color and brightness are well balanced. I agreed with others about alternative background to enhance the look. Thanks   Posted: 01/14/2021 08:33:05

Dear John,
A very happy new year to you. The frame you presented this edition, has inner meaning than just merely an image of a flower. I loved the way you have captioned the image. I was wondering how this image would look as monochrome image? it would give a different look. Even though I like the way you presented it as color image. The caption gave the presentation a special touch. I nearly agree with all of our friends here. The light and colors complementing them too.
Cheers.   Posted: 01/28/2021 05:37:51
