About the Image(s)

The image was shot a few years ago with a Nikon D80 and a Nikon 70-300 F4 lens. The Aperture was F7.1, Shutter was 1/640 at an ISO 400. The image was process in Camera Raw and Photoshop. I have been experimenting using the Nik collection for noise reduction and pre-sharpening. I really like the tension between the bull and the gentleman in the red shirt.

Having attended many rodeos when I was younger I really enjoyed this image! I agree with the comments about the Rodeo Clown with his red shirt drawing the eye to him. What really drew me in though were the cowboys looking on and the intensity on their faces. For me I agree with your crop. My only concern, "did the rider last the time". Great job.   Posted: 10/06/2019 12:04:03

Thanks Bill and welcome. The rodeo was a lot of fun to shoot, and if my memory serves me well, this rider finished the ride.   Posted: 10/11/2019 10:02:16

I think you have captured this rodeo shot very well depicting the concentration with which all cowboys are looking at the action . I can see good details all over the image. The position of the bull's hind legs and the dust flying off the ground adds so much interest in the image.Well done.   Posted: 10/07/2019 08:18:02

Thanks Syed. It was a lot of fun trying a new subject. It's funny, but I just learned that the gentleman in the red shirt is my grandson's baseball coach. Small world.   Posted: 10/21/2019 20:21:40
