Settings: f 14, 1/20 sec, ISO 100, 40 mm, tripod, remote, Nikon d7200
Location: London, Ontario, on a bridge overlooking an expressway.
I used an old image because I wanted to learn how to edit sunset images to create a sillhoutte effect with the image.
Editing
1. Global edits in LR.
2. In PS, converted the image to a smart object and applied Color Effex Pro, tonal contrast and the detail extract filters with control points to the sky.
3. Saved the image back to PS, then applied a curve, moved the black point to the right, and painted through a black mask to keep the foreground completely black.
4. Adjusted the curve to create midpoint contrast in the sky.

A cool idea, to show the morning glow on these lines and makes it come out and pop,   Posted: 01/09/2021 18:50:53

Not the best position to photograph the sunset/sunrise but really emphasizes the impact of man on the beauty of nature. We need more solar panels.   Posted: 01/10/2021 11:54:37

Vibrant background colors of the sky make this image interesting. Lots of wires, but that is part of the story suggested by the title.   Posted: 01/15/2021 09:17:27

Beauty and the Beast. Personally, I like images like this. There's no getting away from manmade artifacts interacting with landscapes etc no matter how much some people don't want it.   Posted: 01/17/2021 04:45:13

Hi Judith, Wonderful colour in the sky, I like the way the towers and the power lines breaks up the mass of colour and tells the story of the infrastructure required to maintain our lifestyles against the beauty of nature.   Posted: 01/19/2021 00:20:21
