About the Image(s)

Opened this capture and colour didn't make Rebecca impressive so then cropped to feature the door and didn't like that either so I then converted to grey scale and bit better but then remembered the sepia filter and liked that and now you are looking at my capture from a while back.

The filter adds a look of the past to the image. It is a beautiful shot, with the interest of the door details and the look of the girl in costume.   Posted: 08/09/2019 16:14:52

The green/sepia toning works well here, adding a touch of age to the image. The woman is well presented against the door and you can make out some texture in the door as well.   Posted: 08/10/2019 10:41:16

Rebecca and the door provide a great first impact, the coloring and Rebecca's clothing provide a great story along with the mysterious door. Good job.   Posted: 08/12/2019 12:08:24

Hi Tim,

I really liked this capture. I think it is the simplicity of the door with a person. Rebecca is the subject - a historical figure, and the door is a wonderful background - with it's iron nails and hinges. I liked the treatment you applied as it gave it a vintage look. Nicely cropped. It fulfills the travel subject matter for sure!   Posted: 08/19/2019 22:07:56

Hi Tim, I like the toning of the image and the position of Rebecca, the detail on the door is sharp, good cropping, making the door the feature with no distractions.   Posted: 08/20/2019 06:46:51
